Sugo Freschissima tomate basilic BIO BABBO 340ml

Babbo's Polpa pronta Freschissima is an organic tomato pulp with basil, ready to cook. The ingredient list fits in three words: tomato, basil, sea salt. According to the jar, the tomatoes ripen in the Tuscan sun, and the recipe is certified organic, from Italian agriculture. Babbo sells it in a 340 g glass jar.

With no oil and no added vegetables, it is the simplest of the Babbo sauces on our shelves, and you finish it your own way. Babbo suggests heating it gently with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a soffritto, the chopped onion, carrot and celery softened in oil that starts many Italian sauces, then stirring in the pasta. Ten minutes of cooking are enough for spaghetti al pomodoro, with a few fresh basil leaves at the last moment. Uncooked, it spreads on pizza dough before the mozzarella, or makes the base of a sauce for meatballs.
