Sugo Pepperoni tomate poivron BIO BABBO 340ml
An organic tomato and bell pepper sauce, cooked in Tuscany and entirely plant-based: in Italian, peperoni means peppers. With 6% extra virgin olive oil, it is the roundest in the Babbo range. The pepper brings sweetness, the tomato acidity. Serve it with rigatoni or in a pasta bake.

Description
Babbo's Sugo pronto Peperoni is an organic tomato sauce with bell peppers. Peperoni means peppers in Italian; the sauce contains no cured meat. Tomato juice and pulp make up 75% of the recipe, peppers 10% and extra virgin olive oil 6%, the highest share of oil among the four Babbo sauces on our shelves. According to the jar, the tomatoes ripen in Tuscany, and the sauce is certified organic, from Italian agriculture.
The oil makes the sauce rounder than the arrabbiata, and the cooked pepper brings a sweet note against the acidity of the tomato. Stir it through rigatoni or fusilli, bake it in a pasta gratin with mozzarella, or simmer chicken breasts in it. It also goes with grilled polenta or fried eggs. Babbo suggests heating it gently, with a soffritto if you want to give it more body.
Babbo Foods, based in Capalbio, sells it in a 340 g glass jar. Keep the jar in a cool, dry place; the glass and the metal lid can both be recycled. The recipe contains celery.
