Description
This pink box holds 12 "Pavés Grande Tradition" fruit jellies by Cruzilles, a master confectioner based in Clermont-Ferrand since 1880. The box states a pure fruit recipe, cooked in a cauldron, made with fruit purées of EU origin. Each piece is a thick square rolled in crystal sugar, in six flavours: apricot, pineapple, strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry and tangerine. According to the label, the fruit purée ranges from 59% for strawberry to 95% for pineapple.
In the Cruzilles range, these squares are the classic format: thicker than the brand's tangy mini pastilles, with orchard flavours and a plain sugar coating. Serve them with coffee, as petits fours at the end of a meal, or on a festive platter next to marrons glacés and calissons. Cut into small dice, they go into a fruit cake or onto a tart. The 150 g window box also fits into a food hamper or a Christmas gift box.
