Description
This hazelnut topping comes from Fabbri 1905, a house based in Bologna, Italy. It is a sweet sauce made from glucose syrup and sugar, with 6% hazelnuts and sweetened condensed milk. The label declares it gluten-free, and the front of the bottle says "palm oil free". The 165 ml soft bottle, 225 g, has a flip-top cap for a fine stream.
Fabbri makes it to decorate ice cream, desserts and coffee. Pour it over a bowl of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, profiteroles, a waffle or a panna cotta. On a cappuccino or a café viennois, a few lines over the froth are enough. It also decorates a restaurant dessert plate, in dots or streaks, or lines the bottom of a verrine before the cream goes in.
Shake the bottle before use. If a little oil shows on the surface, the label says the quality of the sauce is not affected. The best-before date is printed on the cap. You will also find it on the shelves of our shop, 58 rue Tiquetonne, Paris.
