Spring Honey 500g

This spring honey comes from La Ruche Martin, the family farm run by Julien Martin in Montierchaume, in the heart of the Berry. The family has kept bees in the Indre since the 1950s, starting with the grandfather in Ardentes, then the parents; Julien took over in 2016 and now works more than 750 colonies. The honey is harvested in France, in the Indre, by bees foraging within 20 km of the honey house. It is the first harvest of the season, before the hives move on to the acacia trees. The farm belongs to the Bienvenue à la ferme network.

Its pale yellow colour and creamy texture set it apart from an acacia honey, which is runny and clear. The beekeeper describes it as very mild and easy to spread: it stays put on a slice of bread, a crêpe or a brioche. In baking, it adds sweetness without covering other flavours, in gingerbread, madeleines, a nougat mix or a custard tart filling. It also melts into a hot drink, tea, herbal tea or milk.

Keep the 500 g glass jar closed, in a dry place at room temperature; the best-before date is printed under the jar. You will also find it on the shelves of our shop, 58 rue Tiquetonne, Paris.
